What Do You Want Most In Life?

Ask and you shall receive.

If you know what you want, you can have it.  Maybe not instantaneously – but sure enough – when there’s a will, there’s a way.  As the epic swimmer Diana Nyad repeated to herself hundreds of times while swimming from Cuba to Florida, “Find a way.”  Winston Churchill’s wise words compliment her’s nicely: “Never, never, never, never, never give up!”

We are creators.  We are endowed with the creative faculty, and we are here to create what we believe is best – call it Heaven on Earth if you like.  It’s a very real possibility for each of us to live in our own Heaven on Earth as we let go of our fears, worries, and doubts.  When we open up to the heart and trusting in God and the universe and everyone and everything, we’ll find that the great Kingdom of Peace, Joy, Love, and Unconditional Happiness is Within.

Following the heart requires courage…and it’s totally worth it!  What is your heart’s deepest desire?  What are you willing to give for the fulfillment of this desire?  “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”

“Don’t ask what the world needs.  Ask what comes you come alive, and go do it.  Because what the the world needs is people who have come alive.”  What makes you come alive?  What fills you with vigor and zest to live passionately and enthusiastically?

What is your dream job?  Forget about money and ask how you’d like to spend your time, 40 hours a week, if you could do absolutely anything.

What would you do if you only had 6 months to live?  How would you interact with the people you come into contact with?  What changes would you consider making to the way you are currently living?

How do you want to be remembered?  Imagine yourself at your own funeral.  What do you want people to say about you?  Write your own obituary and start living so that you fulfill every bit of it.

As Steve Pavlina says, we are free to make this world anything we want, but we first must do it in our thoughts.  Focus the mind on what you desire most.  Gain crystal clarity.  See it vividly in the mind as though it is already real.  Feel it in the heart.

Right now, typing this, I’m feeling the heart open, because this is exactly what I love to do 🙂  Stimulating thought, conscious conversation, and greater focus on what we most desire…that’s what life’s about, right? Raising Consciousness & Awareness!!! Through thought and conversation and contemplation we can get to know ourselves and cultivate that beautiful thing called self-knowledge.  And with self-knowledge we can grow into a deeper connection and understanding of the Truth.  Growth is a wonderful, wonderful thing; conscious evolution.

The mind is incredibly powerful.  We might as well say it has no limits.  From the Yoga Sutra’s of Patanjali as commented on by Sri Swami Satchidananda, “There’s nothing wrong with the world.  You can make it a heaven or a hell according to your approach…If you control your mind, you have controlled everything.  Then there is nothing in the world to bind you.”

Discover what you most deeply desire.  Train the mind to focus on this desire wholeheartedly.  Know that your desire is good, and as you continue to focus on, you realize the fulfillment of your desire more and more.

If you want Peace, think of Peace.  Feel Peace in the heart.  Live in Peace.  For wealth, feel the wealth – carry yourself as though you are incredibly wealthy.  For happiness – think about happiness and all the people and things that bring you tremendous joy.  Begin to look and sound like a happy person by smiling and laughing.

Thoughts create reality.  As Shakespeare once said, “There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.”  As simple as it sounds…think good thoughts, and you’ll experience goodness, whatever that is to you 🙂

One of my favorite prayers, from the legendary Napoleon Hill, “I ask not, Oh Divine Providence, for more riches, but for wisdom, with which to make full use of all the gifts bestowed at birth, including in the ability to control and direct my own mind towards whatever ends I desire,” in Love & Service to the Highest Good of All!

Cherish the gifts of birth.  By focusing the mind, we can all begin to taste the extraordinary of which we’re capable.  Continue to expand – Infinite Potential – the sky is no where close to the limit 🙂
