Spiritual Success

Going beyond selfishness is spiritual success.

Witnessing the human animal body and mind instead of identifying with it is spiritual success.

Being service-oriented is spiritual success.

Giving up attachments and aversions is spiritual success.

Surrendering personal will to Divine Will is spiritual success.

Giving without any expectation of return is spiritual success.

Being aware of the innocence and ignorance of all life, even Hitler, is spiritual success.

Forgiving All and ultimately realizing there is nothing to forgive and that all are doing the best they can is spiritual success.

Feeling compassion for the ignorance and suffering of humanity is spiritual success.

Delighting in virtuous behavior is spiritual success.

Being friendly amongst happy people is spiritual success.

Disregarding wickedness (rather than condemning it) and trusting in God completely is spiritual success.

Sending Love is spiritual success.

Witnessing Beauty is spiritual success.

Seeing the intrinsic beauty in a trash can is spiritual success.

Asking, “What serves the Highest Good?” is spiritual success.

Intending to evolve spiritually and serve the Highest Good is spiritual success.

Devoting your life to God is spiritual success.

Silently blessing all you see is spiritual success.

Feeling grateful and even reverential over all you see is spiritual success.

Appreciating the present moment in its fullness is spiritual success.

Aligning with any spiritual truth from a confirmed spiritual teacher such as Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, Zoroaster, Moses, St Paul, Dogen, Meister Eckhart, Mother Theresa, Bodihidharma, Huang Po, Mahatma Gandhi, Ramana Maharshi, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Sri Aurobindo, Sri Swami Satchidananda, Ramakrishna, Mechtild von Magdeburg, Swami Vivekananda, St. John of the Cross, Rabbi Moses de Leon of Granada, Plotinus, Muktananda, Lao Tzu, St. Theresa of Avila, etc., is spiritual success.

Aligning with any spiritual truth from a confirmed spiritual text like the New Testament, Genesis, the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, the work of Dr. David R. Hawkins, Psalms, The Cloud of Unknowing, the Dhammapada, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Diamond Sutra, Heart Sutra, Koran, Lotus Sutra, Midrath, Mishneh, Zohar, Vedas, the Nicene Creed, etc. that is spiritual success.

Loving, giving, and serving is spiritual success.

Not seeking subjective pleasure or gain is spiritual success.

Focusing the mind on anything inspiring and uplifting is spiritual success.

Living only to serve is spiritual success.

Being aware of Peace is spiritual success.

Intention matters supremely.  It matters not to so much what we do in the physical world, but how we do whatever do.  The unseen intention and motivation behind our actions is what determines whether we are serving the highest good or not.

Thankfully – and really it is to the glory of God – that serving the Highest Good is its own reward – and not one of is excluded from the Highest Good 🙂
